“Hyrule?” She asked, cocking a brow. “Is that in Europe? I’m afraid I’ve never heard of such a place, dear. I’m from America…”
Charlie gasped, now realizing why Link had brought up the subject of ears. “Mercy! What ever is wrong with your ears?” She exclaimed, rather enthralled by the sight. “Are you an elf? I’ve read about them in books, but I never thought they existed!”

…Ameri-what now? And what the heck was a “Europe?” Were these territories outside of Hyrule? Perhaps in the ancient lands spoken through old texts… Labrynna and Holodrum, if he remembered correctly. They sure didn’t sound like anything that could’ve been around there. The names sounded… foreign.
Still, he was going to answer her question to the best of his abilities - it was the right thing to do.
“Erm… Hyrule is a country, miss. It’s not anywhere near those places. In fact… I didn’t even know they existed!” Was she getting this? “It’s also a kingdom, currently under the rule of my friend Princess Zelda. I mean, I guess we’re friends - we don’t talk much except when I’m doing my training exercises and when we’re called for assemblies."
…Elf? Another term he wasn’t familiar with. This person just got weirder and weirder!
"And uh… about my ears. See, I’m Hylian - a race in Hyrule that’s said to be blessed by the Goddesses themselves. They say that the longer your ears, the better you can hear them. I’ve never heard them, though.” Oh he hoped she was getting this. “Humans exist in Hyrule as well, or so I’ve heard. Not now, anyway. They used to a long time ago, but I guess we kinda… overpowered them."
